A 25 year teaching veteran from the Ukraine. Genya has served as the Director of Tennis at Arroyo Seco since iTennis took over the facility in May of 2007. Prior to that Genya served as the Director of Tennis for Rose Bowl Tennis after moving from Oregon where he served as the Director of Tennis for Clackamas River Racquet Club in Gladstone.

Genya has worked with thousands of kids and adults over the years ranging from beginners and recreational players to advanced tournament players. In the last three years, Genya had coached the #1, #2 and #3 singles players for the La Canada High school girls and boys teams. He has also coached the #1, #2, and #3 singles players for Flintridge Prep High School girls team as well as Flintridge Prep’s #1 doubles player, Abby Letts. He also coaches South Pasadena High’s #1 player Max Smith.

Genya received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education from the University of Physical Culture in Kiev, Ukraine. He is a member of the Prince Elite Team and a long time USPTA certified professional.
